Can you save the Sims 3 to a memory stick?
I have a laptop, a Lenovo T61 thinkpad.
But I know I don’t have enough memory to save the Sims on my laptop, So if I got an 8GB memory stick, could I save it to that?
What do you mean by “save”?
First, most memory sticks are not capable of saving files larger than 4GB, if you are thinking of saving one ginormous file. It would have to be reformatted as NTFS.
Second, you can’t use a thumb drive as a location to install a program like this. Most thumb drives are not meant for this kind of function and are slow. SLOW.
Finally, if you mean to save your games on the memory stick – NO. The Sims 2 and 3 both force you to put your saved games under “My Computer”, which I would never recommend anyone move to a thumb drive.
