How do I properly install a 256 MB graphics card by Nvidia, in a Dell Optiplex gx-150 computer?
Please tell me this using simple directions, because I’m not very good with techie speak.
Ok, time to elaborate. My computer currently runs on Windoes 98 SE and is NOT connected to the internet. I Have tried just plugging in the new one in the slot recently emptied of the old one, and it didn’t work. My screen was black when i turned it back on. I have tried uninstalling the old card, but I don’t know precisely what to uninstall, AND I have tried all that and then trying to install the new one, and since I’m not hooked up to the internet, could not install new drivers, AND it says I need the ****ing Windows 98 SE DISC!!!!!!!!!!!! I don’t keep these things you see…………I know I’m stupid for that, but I just don’t. How might I obtain a Windows XP disc and how might I go about installing it properly? Thank you in advance for understanding.
Open it, insert the card into an empty slot, that’s it. I have a Dell and it’s quite easy. No problem..
