Which motherboard is better?
I am currently looking at three motherboards; two from Asus, and one from Intel.
The Asus motherboards, the Striker Extreme and the P5N32-E SLI are both very nice options (though I don’t know which one is better), yet neither offer the ECC option for the DIMM RAM. The Intel motherboard, D975XBX2, does offer support for ECC RAM, yet doesn’t have some of the OC features that Asus provides.
Between the two Asus motherboards, the Striker Extreme provides many aesthetic qualities, yet the P5N32-E SLI has support for 1333 MHz FSB.
Probably need to repost this question stating what you want to use the motherboard for. For a server ECC is a nice feature, but for a gaming machine, ECC slows it down. On one hand the Intel motherboard supports ECC, on the other hand the Asus has SLI. Two completely different applications for a motherboard, so I am a little confused on what you are trying to achieve.
