Laptop Locking Devices
LG Viewty won’t connect to laptop?

It connects using wizzard (and sometimes works perfectly every 20 goes!) but when syncing with outlook says no phone connected

Have:
– installed mini CD software
– switched off auto keypad lock (Help desk)
– USB connectivity to data service (Help desk)
– checked no other software (other than home screen & menu) running

LG say laptops are not powerful enough to run some USB devices – why?

Has anyone got any further than this

Right after I bought this laptop (HP Pavilion dv6449) from Circuit City (Aug. 2007) I purchased an Office Manager program for my LG 8300, so that I could download my Pics from phone to my computer as well as my contacts in my phone and vice versa. It does not work, so I figured that I did’nt do something right, but I was busy getting ready to go on vacation, and I had tossed out the box that the product came in. On returning from vacation, I took the product down to Circuit City and asked the saleslady who sold it to me to see if she could get it to work (She is a Verizon Rep.) It seems that the product that she sold me is NOT COMPATIBLE with WINDOWS VISTA!!! Needless to say I am NOT A HAPPY CUSTOMER!
I had tossed out the box, and now I have another uselees piece of junk that I have no use for, and I’m still out the cost of the $#%%$%$&()(&^&*(^% thing. From now on I will only purchase products like these when they can install it right in front of me, and if it doesn’t work they can shove it where the sun doesn’t shine, ’cause I’m not buying a useless piece of crap anymore!!
I’m sorry that I can’t help you beyond this point as it is frustrating, time consuming, and doubly costly as not only the money is gone, but so is the faith the consumer places in the companies that we purchase from.

USB to DVI: Compact Device Capable of Displaying DVI video from your Computers USB Port to an Additional Display Device

A USB to DVI Adapter allows the connection of an additional DVI monitor from the USB port on your computer or laptop. This device offers a convenient way to connect additional displays to all Windows XP and Vista operating systems. With this adapter it is now possible to add digital video displays or projectors to a laptop and personal computer for simultaneous video delivery without needing a DVI port. This can be achieved by plugging and playing any DVI or VGA display to any USB 2.0 port via the adapter.

With the usb to dvi conversion device, screen resolutions of 1280×1024 and 1600×1200 are available. This device is designed so that its components ensure there is no difference in the video performance between the main display and the additional display. This adapter comes with an industry-standard security lock slot for anti-theft purpose. Its features include the ability to add or remove devices without system reboot, making it hot pluggable. This device also automatically resumes from hibernation and suspend modes. These adapters are self powered, equipped with LEDs that show signal transmission from the computer to the display. The USB to DVI adapter is gaining popularity as the prospect of connecting any display without an extra monitor port is very appealing.

It allows users to set the screen resolution, color depth as well as the screen rotation. This device basically acts as an external video card due to the large amount of memory which it has. An added advantage is offering users the convenience of accessing peripherals within reach, eliminating the hassle of connecting or disconnecting them from the computer. These adapters are also compliant with RoHS standards and are FCC as well as CE certified. This USB to DVI device is a boon for people whose systems do not have the necessary outputs required in order to support multiple monitors.
