4 major attractions in Palmdale
Palmdale has been one of the top 25 fastest growing cities in the country for more two decades. It is one of the largest cities do not have a primary or interstate highway within its limits, and the location is unbeatable. Just 2 hours the Santa Barbara wine region, an hour from the city of Los Angeles and about an hour and a half from the beach, you are in driving distance many attractions without the hustle and bustle of the city and highways. Here is a list of some great attractions in nearby Palmdale and Los Angeles.
- Devil's Hole: This sandstone formation 4,750 m elevation is considered a miniature version the Grand Canyon. This nature reserve contains a state park and is home to many plants and animals. Most animals here are nocturnal and seldom seen. Walks the pathways to Andreas fault are abundant, and there are visions of all meteor showers each year. This makes a great day trip with family, or a night Romantic for two.
- Golf: There are two golf courses of regulation in Palmdale. Rancho Vista is an 18 hole course with a design medium length. For something a little shorter and a little easier, try the desert air, a 9 hole golf course nearby. Both have greens and beginners host as well as advanced players.
- Hart Park: "Two Gun Bill" was a cowboy in many silent films for many decades. William S. Hart owned a farm of 260 acres in Palmdale that is already open to the public. Hart Park was donated to the public a few years ago, and now is a great place to spend an afternoon outside any time of year.
- Palmdale Playhouse: This small theater is home to many different shows throughout the year. From The Christmas Story in December symphony orchestras, several plays, you're sure to find something that fits your imagination any time of year.
