WEBHOSTING services ? Any recommendation ?

I would like to shift from one host and look for a better one. My current host is outdated and the prices and features too are outdated. I see so many offers for hosting at much better pricing and better features so I am confused after some search and reviews that I read.
I have a OSCOMMERCE setup installed with a database that is working fine now.
I once attempted to move to one new host (HOSTICAN) and even though they said it was simple, it turned out that it was not as easy as they claimed it to be.
